How we deliver it: at least 80% of your usable capacity shifts from cheap hours to expensive ones daily (where your home uses enough to absorb it). Miss it, and a credit lands automatically the next month at your import rate.

What’s the catch

How can batteries be this cheap?

Britain’s grid needs to soak up cheap wind at 2am and take the pressure off at 6pm. Doing that with gas plants is expensive. Doing it with thousands of home batteries acting together is cheap, and the grid pays for it.

Your battery joins that fleet. The money we earn from the grid is what funds your discount up front, and what pays for ten years of software and maintenance with no monthly fee.

A 16 kWh system installed typically costs £7,000 to £12,000 elsewhere. Ours is £3,499 because your battery earns grid revenue for ten years, and we pass that value to you up front.

How much can I expect to save with a Juicy battery?×

Do I need to be on a specific energy tariff?+

You don't have to switch, but to get the biggest savings, we recommend a 'Time-of-Use' tariff (like Octopus Agile or Flux). These tariffs offer ultra-cheap rates at certain times of the day. Our smart software is designed to hunt down those cheap windows and fill your battery up, so you never have to pay peak prices again.

Do I need to change electricity supplier?+

No. You keep your supplier unless the tariff we recommend is only available elsewhere, in which case we tell you and help you switch. We're not an energy supplier and we don't replace yours.

Where can the battery be installed?+

Safety and performance are our top priorities. When deciding on the best location for your battery, we encourage you to consider the most convenient spot for you. This is typically a garage, a utility room, or a sheltered area on an external wall. Following the latest UK safety guidelines, we must avoid installing in lofts or under stairs. During your virtual site survey, you will show us your preferred location, and we will verify that it meets all the latest fire safety regulations and our installation requirements.

Are batteries safe?+

Yes, extremely. We only use high-quality Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) batteries, the gold standard for home safety. Every Juicy battery is fitted with a smart Battery Management System that monitors the unit 24/7, keeping it at the right temperature. When combined with our professional installation, the risk is incredibly low — even lower than many common household appliances.

Who owns the battery system?+

You own the battery outright from day one. In exchange for the discount, Juicy manages when it charges and discharges for ten years. That's a condition of your savings guarantee, because we can only guarantee savings we deliver ourselves. Leaving early means repaying part of the discount, falling to zero at year ten. Your quote shows the exact figure before you commit.
