Get your fixed price

How it works, start to finish.

Two minutes online, one remote survey, one day of work. Here’s every step, and exactly what’s included.

The steps

Six steps, and who does what.

01

Get your fixed price.

Two minutes online: a few questions and your latest bill. We come back within one working day with a fixed price and your payback figure. No callback, no salesman, no visit yet.

02

Remote survey.

We ask for photos of your electricity meter, your fuse board with the cover off, your main earth connection, and the wall where you’d like the battery. That’s enough for us to confirm the design without anyone coming out. If your property needs work beyond a standard installation, this is when we tell you the cost, and you can walk away with nothing to pay.

03

Grid application.

We apply to your local network operator for permission to connect. We do this, not you. How long it takes depends on the system size — see the timings below.

04

Installation.

Two accredited engineers, one visit, one day.

05

Switch tariff.

We tell you which time-of-use tariff suits your home and help you move. You stay with whichever supplier you like; we’re not an energy supplier and we don’t replace yours.

06

It runs itself.

Our software takes over the night your tariff switches. Your first savings appear in the app within a week.

How long it takes

Why some installs are quicker than others.

Every battery connected to the grid needs the network operator’s sign-off. Smaller systems get a simpler process.

10 kWh system, 3.6 kW inverter — about a week.

This size sits inside the connect-and-notify threshold, so we don’t wait for approval. We install, then notify.

16 kWh and 20 kWh systems, 6 kW inverter — usually two to four weeks.

These need approval before we install. We submit the day you order and chase it for you.

Either way the installation itself is one day. If speed matters more to you than maximum savings, tell us and we’ll quote the 10 kWh system.

Installation day

What actually happens on the day.

01Two accredited engineers arrive in a window you chose. They cover floors and wear overshoes.
02They isolate your electricity supply. Power is off for about 5 minutes, not the day.
03Battery and inverter are mounted in the spot you agreed at survey. Nowhere else, and never without checking with you first.
04Cabling run and made good.
05Juicy control unit fitted and connected.
06Full electrical test and commissioning.
07System brought online and registered with your network operator.
08A ten-minute walkthrough with you: what it does, what the app shows, who to call.
09Everything cleared and taken away. No packaging left behind.
10Certificates and warranty documents in your inbox the same day.
What happens afterwards

The first month, and the next ten years.

First 30 days.

We watch your system closely to check it’s charging in the right hours and hitting its targets. If it isn’t, we call you rather than waiting for you to notice.

Every day after that.

Our software picks the cheapest hours to charge and the most valuable hours to discharge. Prices change, tariffs change, and it adjusts. You don’t.

Around the clock monitoring.

Every battery reports its health continuously. If something looks wrong we know before you do.

Ten years of maintenance and health checks

Included in the price you paid. No monthly fee.

What counts as a standard installation

Your fixed price covers a standard installation, which is the large majority of homes.

A standard installation means:

Your fuse board has spare capacity and meets current regulations
Your earthing and main bonding are up to current standards
The battery sits within 10 metres of your fuse board
No asbestos where we need to work
A ground floor, garage or utility location, on a wall that can take the weight

If your property doesn’t meet all of these, your remote survey will show it. We’ll tell you the exact cost of the additional work in writing, before anyone visits and before you pay anything. You can go ahead or walk away with nothing to pay.

Once you accept your price, it’s locked. We never add costs on the day.

Your main fuse.

Some older homes have a 60 or 80 amp main fuse where a battery system needs 100 amp. That’s an upgrade your network operator carries out, not us. It’s usually free but can add a few weeks.

Export limits.

Occasionally a network operator will cap how much electricity your system can send back to the grid. It doesn’t stop the installation and it doesn’t change your price, but it can reduce your savings slightly. We’ll always tell you before you commit if we think it’s likely.
