How it works

Three steps.

Share your code.

Send it to someone who'd be better off with a battery. Text is fine.

They use it when they get a price.

They enter the code and £100 comes off their quote straight away, before they commit to anything.

We pay you about a month after their install.

We'll ask for your bank details when it's due and send the £100 straight over. There's no claim form.

Why the money arrives a month later.

Your friend has fourteen days to change their mind after they order, and the odd fault shows up in the first few weeks. Waiting a month means that in almost every case we pay you once and that's the end of it.

If your friend cancels before their battery goes in, nobody gets anything.

Before you send it

The limits.

Better to know these now than after you've sent the code.

They have to be new to us.If your friend already asked us for a price before you sent your code, we can't pay a reward. Our records decide it.
One reward per home.We pay one reward for any given address, however many people refer it.
Five rewards a year.Tell as many people as you like. We pay up to five in any twelve months. If you're going past that, get in touch and we'll set up something proper.
A year to use it.If your friend hasn't had their battery installed within twelve months of using your code, the referral expires.
The £100 off doesn't stack.Your friend can't combine it with another Juicy discount or promotional code.
Don't post your code publicly.Putting it on a site that collects discount or cashback codes will void it, and so will paid advertising that uses the Juicy name. The scheme is for people you know.

Your questions answered.

Do I get anything if my friend doesn't buy?

No. The reward is tied to a completed installation, not to sending the code. Nothing happens until their battery is in and paid for.

How do you know it came from me?

Your code is recorded on their quote when they enter it. That record is what we pay against.

My friend forgot to use the code. Can you add it?

Yes, up to the point they pay their deposit. After that we can't. Ask them to email us with your code before they pay.

Will you tell me what my friend paid?

No. We'll tell you someone used your code and when your money is on the way. Nothing about them, their price or their address. That's their business.

Could you ever ask for the £100 back?

Only in two situations, and both are rare. If your friend cancels after installation and gets a full refund within six months, or if it turns out the referral never qualified. We'd write to you and explain. Nothing else triggers it, including your friend moving house or ending their agreement later.

Do I pay tax on the £100?

We pay it in full and deduct nothing. Whether you need to declare it depends on your circumstances, and we can't advise you on that. HMRC or an accountant can.

Does this work for the battery I already bought?

This is a thank you for sending someone new, so it doesn't change your own price. Your friend is the one who gets money off. Your side of it is the £100 in cash.

Can I refer a business?

Not through this scheme. If you know a farm, school or business that needs a battery, email us at hello@juicy.energy and we'll pick it up separately.
